Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before confirming your session. By paying your deposit or making full payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms below.
By making a booking or any form of payment to The Baby Journal, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms and Conditions stated in this document in their entirety. No separate signature is required for this agreement to be binding.

Booking Confirmation & Payment
A session with The Baby Journal is confirmed only upon receipt of a booking deposit. No session date or slot will be held or reserved without a payment being received.
A non-refundable deposit of ₹2,000 is required to block your slot. Payment of this deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
The remaining balance must be settled in full at least 1 day before the shoot date. The session will not commence until the full balance is cleared.
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, UPI, and cash. All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR).

Rescheduling & Cancellation
All bookings are strictly non-cancellable and non-refundable. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances once a booking deposit has been made.
In the case of a genuine emergency, one rescheduling is permitted per booking. To reschedule, the client must notify The Baby Journal a minimum of 24 hours before the scheduled shoot date. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the session will not be accommodated and the booking will be forfeited.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and is offered at the sole discretion of The Baby Journal. A reschedule does not entitle the client to a different package or any additional services.
If The Baby Journal must cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, the client will be offered a full reschedule or a complete refund of any amounts paid.

Copyright & Image Ownership
All photographs and video content produced during the session are the exclusive intellectual property of The Baby Journal and remain so unless Image Rights are separately purchased by the client.
The Baby Journal retains full copyright over all images, including the right to use, license, reproduce, and display the work for any purpose, including but not limited to portfolio display, social media, website content, marketing materials, print publications, and awards submissions.
The digital files delivered to the client are licensed for personal use only. This includes printing for personal display and sharing privately with family and friends. Commercial use of any delivered image requires prior written consent from The Baby Journal.

Image Rights (Privacy Package)
Clients who wish to restrict The Baby Journal from using their session images for any promotional or public purpose may purchase Image Rights separately. This is referred to as a Privacy Package.
Upon purchase of the Privacy Package, The Baby Journal agrees not to publish, share, or display any images or video from the client's session on any public platform including Instagram, Facebook, the studio website, or any third-party publication.
Without the purchase of Image Rights, The Baby Journal reserves the right to use any session image for promotional purposes at its sole discretion.
The cost of the Privacy Package will be communicated at the time of booking. Image Rights must be purchased prior to or on the day of the session. Requests made after the session cannot be guaranteed and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Image Delivery
Edited images will be delivered via a private online gallery within 7 to 14 working days of the session date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The number of images delivered will be as specified in the package selected at the time of booking. The Baby Journal reserves the right to curate the final selection and will deliver only images that meet our quality standards.
Raw and unedited image files are not included in any package as standard. They are available strictly as a paid add-on at an additional cost communicated at the time of booking. Raw files can be purchased any time before the session or within 15 days of the delivery of edited images. Requests made after this 15 day window will not be accommodated.
The online gallery will remain active for 30 days from the date of delivery. It is the client's responsibility to download all images within this period. The Baby Journal is not responsible for images lost due to failure to download within the access period.

Session Conduct & Baby Safety
The safety and comfort of your baby is our highest priority at all times. Our photographer will never force a pose or position that appears uncomfortable for the baby. If a baby is distressed, the session will be paused for as long as needed.
Parents and guardians are required to be present throughout the session. The Baby Journal team will not be held responsible for any injury or distress arising from failure to follow safety guidance provided during the session.
The studio environment is temperature-controlled and maintained specifically for newborn and infant comfort. Clients are requested not to bring additional guests unless agreed in advance, as this can impact the baby's comfort and session flow.

Force Majeure
The Baby Journal will not be held liable for failure to perform any obligation under these terms where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, natural disaster, government restrictions, or equipment failure. In such cases, a full reschedule or refund will be offered.

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
By making payment, the client acknowledges that they have read and agreed to these terms in their entirety.
